Scotty Cameron Newport Tei3 Review

It along with the Buttonback are the only non bullseyes I have. It's a funny model that never really took off in the collector world even though a putter made entirely of GSS is considered by some the holy grail. The inserts didn't cut it. I believe maybe they were a little before their time and part of it was also the graphics??I also believe that after the success of the Buttonbacks and other Te insert putters if they were released as a range now they would be received much better. All just my opinion though and as Captain says, as they weren't greatly received they can generally be had for a steal. Putters are a very personal thing.

Scotty Cameron Tei3 Review

I know tons of people who rave about the Tei3, and i had bought a Long neck and a Del mar mid slant on the basis of those the end, the long neck made 1 appearance on the green, and the Del mar made a grand total of 0.i guess the lesson really is that the Tei3 insert is just another insert. There's no magic in it.

It's just a matter of whether it suits your taste (or feel).personally, the feel of the Tei3 insert was inferior compared to the GSS insert of the Studio Style and the Red X.Of all the camerons i've owned and gamed, i'm partial towards the 'insert-less' classic old school camerons, made in the 1990s / early 2000s. Those truly have a hand-made feel to them, and feel better (at least to me) than any of the bling bling ones produced in recent years.
